"RLC 6.9 Hardtail "
A race bike through and through - that is the CONWAY "RLC 6.9". With its high quality equipment, the bike is perfectly suited for both World Cup and national racing. New is the sensitive FOX "Float" suspension fork, which is smooth like butter with its 100 mm of travel.
The geometry, which is completely geared towards propulsion, combines secure directional stability with trail-ready maneuverability, which is already indicated by the short chainstays. This allows it to score points on marathon trails as well as on twisty cross-country courses.
Either way, the "RLC 6.9" is made for this terrain, because the 12-speed SHIMANO "XT" drive in combination with the large cassette has a wide range of gears at the ready, so you can climb even the steepest mountains and power through one last time on the home stretch. The powerful Disc Brakes with 180/160 mm complete the "XT" group on the "RLC 6.9".
The 60 mm wide SCHWALBE tires "Racing Ray" in the front and "Racing Ralph" in the rear (in Evolution and Addix rubber compound) dampen proper hilly trails. They also give a decent amount of grip, of course.
That the developers at CONWAY have put a lot of thought into the "RLC" frame is also evident in many details: to prevent the handlebars from flipping to the top tube, they added a bump stop to the "RLC 6.9". Another nice and clever solution are the screw inserts for mounting the brake caliper. Should the caliper tear out in a fall, only the inserts need to be replaced - the caliper is still intact.
In addition, instead of the 27.2 mm seatpost being retrofitted, a lowerable seatpost with 30.9 mm diameter (including internal cable routing) can be fitted just as well. This is possible with the reducing sleeve for the seat tube. Also, the frame is prepared for the internal routing of "Di2" cables. The service flap under the bottle cage helps when routing the cables and is placeholder for "Di2" batteries of SHIMANO circuits
