However, the RST "Blaze" suspension fork with 100mm travel is far more important for sporty tours. In combination with the 56mm wide and profiled tyres, it absorbs and cushions most bumps. In size 27.5, the wheels can be accelerated quickly and, like the entire "ML 5", are agile and manoeuvrable.
The 3x9-speed Shimano Alivio drive provides extra support when pedalling. With its wide range of gear ratios, the drive can handle everything from intermediate sprints to challenging climbs. When the going gets really tough on the other side of the mountain, the Shimano BR-MT200 brakes reliably keep the "ML 5" in check.
